It's only on when you want it on.

Turn One Number Service on - then you set how the phones ring - Simultaneously or Sequentially (your Verizon Wireless phone rings first, then your Qwest home phone). When One Number Service is OFF - calls to your One Number Service Number (Qwest home phone number) will only ring your Qwest home phone. Calls to your Verizon Wireless phone number will ring only your Verizon Wireless phone.

Simply log into qwest.com/myaccount or visit qwest.com/manageonenumber in order to turn your service on or off. Or call the Qwest Update Center at *78 from your home phone, or 1- 888 - (your home phone area code)-8052 from any touch tone phone. The first time you call the Update Center, you must call from your home phone to set up a security code.
