Qwest® has an ongoing, thriving partnership with the INROADS® organization to provide internship opportunities for minority students. In fact, INROADS is the only internship program Qwest formally sanctions.
Over 300 interns have been placed in Qwest through the INROADS program. In 2006-2007, Qwest is achieving national account status within INROADS as a result of its commitment to the program.
The INROADS Mission Statement:
The mission of INROADS is to develop and place talented minority youth in business and industry and prepare them for corporate and community leadership.
An important element of the Qwest/INROADS experience is community service. Qwest’s INROADS interns have managed reading programs for children and phone drives to provide free cellular phones to the elderly, the disabled and victims of domestic violence (in partnership with Phones For Life – www.phones4life.org), as well as participating in Habitat for Humanity and other programs.
