Qwest signed a deal with the Utah Education Network to connect 21 of the state's 40 school districts to its statewide fiber-optic network.
Cherry Creek School District No. 5 will upgrade its schools and administrative offices to a dedicated fiber network designed by Qwest. Using Qwest's data networking solution, the district plans to consolidate existing technologies, while offering students, parents, teachers and administrators greater access to district resources to prepare students with 21st century skills.
The Utah Education Network has teamed up with Qwest Communications to deliver high-speed network services to Utah schools.
