Qwest is recognized in the industry for having a unique organization dedicated to operator services.

Hotel guests can depend on the hotel to meet their communication needs. Qwest Operator Services allows guests to make calls within the United States and to most International countries. The calls are billed based on the payment method selected by the end user - the originating line does not incur a charge at any time. Examples include calling card, collect, credit card and third party.

Hotel/motel properties can connect to the Qwest Operator Services platform via dedicated access, subscription or through programming of their onsite private branch exchange (PBX). Guests access the Qwest Operator Services platform by simply following the dialing instructions in their room.

Although room rentals generate the greatest portion of the hotel revenues, the telecommunications department is often viewed as a profit center. Qwest offers multiple rate plans and pays a competitive commission for every completed billable call. The Qwest platform and brand provide the strength of Qwest branding and name recognition. A complementary property-specific branding feature can be included on all "live operator" calls. For example, "Thank you for using Qwest and enjoy your stay at the Holiday Inn."
