Qwest iQ® Networking Enhanced Port

A SINGLE PORT FOR RELIABLE, PRIVATE IP WAN AND INTERNET ACCESS

Qwest iQ® Networking Enhanced Port service provides a convenient and cost-effective solution for customers who operate multiple network locations that need a private Intranet network along with a method to connect to the public Internet.

Qwest has expanded the capabilities of the Qwest iQ® Networking Enhanced Port to include an optional network-based firewall feature called Secure IP Gateway ("SIG"). Secure IP Gateway (only available with Enhanced Port) will divert Internet traffic from Qwest private MPLS network to a network-based firewall where customer defined security policies are enforced.

The integrated Qwest iQ® Networking Enhanced Port solution means the customer will no longer need to maintain separate network ports and premises-based firewall services at their location, which translates into saving time, money, and maintenance tasks for customers.

Description

Qwest iQ® Networking Enhanced Port combines private and public IP service via Qwest's reliable Dedicated IP, Frame Relay, ATM and Ethernet local access loop types. Speeds range from 64Kbps on a DS-1 up-to OC48 and Ethernet Speeds from 2 Mbps up-to Gigabit Ethernet.
